The Revolutionary War Widow's Information database provided on the NB Archives Site clearly indicated that Robert's wife was Anne. It is now believed that the name "Agnes" was a nickname or second name that his wife Anne was also known as. The Records show Robert's wife is referred to as "Agnes, Nancy and Anne". One piece of information indicates they were married in Glasgow, England. Based on the year of the marriage 1777, and the year of this record 1840, it is assumed that Robert was married only the one time. Please see this document as taken from the database.
