The Indian Population Is Steadily Increasing
Washington, - The annual report of John Collier, commissioner of Indian Affairs, said Tuesday there were 320,454 Indians in the United States on June 30, 1933, an increase of 3,220 over the previous year.
The population in states where federal agencies are located included:
Iowa, 409; Kansas, 1,810; Minnesota, 14,992; Nebraska 4,446; North Dakota
9,911; South Dakota, 26,558; Wisconsin 11,139.
