"Also, Anne Sharpe, daughter of John and Judith, had a daughter Anne who married Richard Cauthorn. In his will, Vincent Vass (d.1727) refers to her as his daughter-in-law (i.e. step-daughter) Anne Cauthorn."


Vincent Vass of Essex Co. VA died testate in 1727. His will leaves property to Ann Cauthorn, wife of Richard Cauthorn, she "being my daughter in law."
Research strongly suggests that Ann was the daughter of Vincent's wife, Anne Sharpe, by a previous marriage, probably to Thomas Roberts or Thomas Gillett.
