My name is Bill Morgan and I am a direct descendent of Solomon
Morgan Sr. I have a good record back to Solomon Sr., but from
there back it is kind of sketchy. Some genealogist say that he
was born in Wales in 1735, but in some SC records he is listed
as being born in SC in 1735. His wife is listed as Jemima Webb.
Judge Folks Huxford in his books (Pioneers of Wiregrass Georgia)
states that his father was William Morgan and his mother was
Frances Hendricks. The SC records state that he served in
General Frances Marion's brigade in 1780/81 as a horsemans
swordmaker and gunsmith. If you have any info that is verifiable
I am very interested in looking at it . I have some more info ,

In the Darlington County, South Carolina Will Book 1, page
153-157; dated February 1793, there is "William Cook and Rachel
his wife who issued letters of administrator on estate of Thomas
Woodard, dec'd. Securities Solomon Morgan and Abel Waddille.
