In the name of God Amen, I Richard Tylor of Essex County in
Virginia being weak in body but of perfect mind sence and memory
and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make
this my last will and Testament in manner and form following.
that is to say. first I bequeath my soul into the hands of my
Creator mot doubting but through the merits of my Saviour to
receive pardon and forgiveness of all my sins & a Joyfull
resurrection with ye just and elert at ye day of judgement and
for what worldly goods it hath pleased Almighty God to bestow on
me in this life after my decease I give of as follows.
In primis I give and bequeath unto my beloved son Richard Tylor
after the decease of my beloved wife Susanna Tylor the
plantation whereon I know live with all ye land belonging to me
between Piscataway Creek and the Road together with a piece I
purchased lately adjoining to it. to him & his heirs for ever
Also I give and bequeath unto my beloved son Richard Tylor at
the time of my wifes decease th best feather bed & furniture
belonging to me: alos I give to my said son Richard after my
wifes decease a negroe man named Will to him and his heirs for
ever.
Item I give and bequeath to my beloved son John Tylor the
Plantation whereon he now lives with all the land belonging to
me on the south side of the swamp that divides ye land where he
now lives and James Boughan's land to him & his heirs for ever
also I give and equeath to my beloved son John Tylor a Young
negroe named Tony to him and his heirs for ever.
Item I give and bequeath to my beloved son William Tyler all the
land that I am possessed with on ye south side of the road by
the line of James Boughan between the road and the aforesaid
swamp to him & his heirs for ever.
Item I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter Mary Boughan a
good suit of Cloath ath the descretion of my beloved wife
Susanna Tylor.
Item I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter Susanna Tylor a
feather bed and furniture belonging to it at the day of her
marriage to her and heirs for ever. Also I give & bequeath to my
beloved daughter Susanna Tylor, after my wifes decease my great
Lokking Glass to her and her heirs fro ever.
Item I lend unto my beloved wife Susanna Tylor all ye rest
residue and remainder of my Estate of what nature & kind
whatsoever to her during her natural life and at hre decease
then to be equally divided between my beloved son William Tyler
and my beloved daughter Susanna Tylor to them & their heirs for
ever.
Lastly I constitute and appoint my beloved wife Susanna Tylor
and my beloved sons Richard Tylor & William Tylor to be my full
and wholly executur & Executors of this my Last will and
Testament Revoking Disannulling & making void all former wills
and bequests by me heretofore made and appointing this to be my
last will and Testament as Witness my hand & seal this fourth
day of December in the year of our LOrd God one thousand seven
hundred & thirty two.
