"John Dunham apparently was living in the area where the Singletarys settled and could have met and married Hannah Singletary, the youngest daughter of Benjamin Singletary. However, there is an equal amount of information that suggests that John Dunnam married Hannah Russ instead. It is a fact that David Russ was coexecutor of the Will of John Dunnam. His name is mentioned several times in the Will along with Hannah the widow John Dunnam. David Russ was a brother of Hannah Russ, so both Hannah's are listed as wives of John Dunnam until we are able to prove which one was in fact his wife. Jonathan Russ had a plantation known as Cainhoy, located on the Wando River. David Russ lived on this plantation. This is in the area where both the Dunnams and Singletarys lived."
