Newspaper Clipping: MCKNEELY-MCCANTS --On Monday, Jan 11, at the
residence of Rev. Dr. Flinn, W.O.B. Mackneely, of East
Feliciana, to Miss W. E. McCants, of New Orleans, youngest
daughter of David McCants. No cards. Date, handwritten: 1875.
1914 Ltr of Martha P. "Your Uncle Butler is a great sufferer,
has bladder trubles, been operated on twice but was not
benefited much, seldom leaves home. Your Aunt Ernestine attends
to all the business. He rents all his plantation except his
dwelling, garden, lot and pastures. His daughter, Mrs. Lewis
lives with them, has one little girl, lost their eldest child, a
boy named Orlando for your Grandfather. Sydney is in Houston,
TX, has four children, is doing very well. Malcom lives in
Gouldsboro, has five children, does not get along very well, is
a poor manager his father says."
