The defendant Dickinson, not having entered his appearance and given security according to the act of assembly and the rules of this court, and it appearing to the satisfaction of the court that said Dickinson is not an inhabitant of this state: It is ordered and decreed by the court, that the said Dickinson do appear here on the second day of May court next to answer the complainants' bill; and that a copy of this order be forth with inserted in some Richmond newspapers for eight weeks successively, and published at the front door of this courthouse on some court day.

THIS GEORGE MEDLOCK, was father of Col. Charles Medlock of Anson/Richmond Nc and Warren Co, Ga; and the Grandfather of George Medlock who died in Warren Co, Ga in 1800. After reviewing the actual article in the Virginia Argus (via the Library of Congress) and the intestate administration of George Matlock of Louisa Co, Va. dec Oct 1800, these additional names can be identified.

15. Susanna Medlock - daughter of Henry Medlock and Kerenhappuch Sanford. Henry is the son of Col Charles Medlock of NC/Ga. Susanna sued the estate of Geo Medlock,dec Ga 1800 for her inheritance of two slaves. A power of attorney for Joseph Sanford (Hancock Co Deed Book K p. 115-117 - Also see Min of the US Circuit Court..1790-1860 film FHL 1405275 p. 360, 465 and Hancock Co 1812 Tax digest p. 90)

There is very little detail about these two Kings, and nothing is known of their personal lives. She inherited the Presbyterian faith from her Scotch-Irish ancestors, and became one of the founders of the Washington Church. See the chart of the McDowells appended to this article.
