1. WALTER PICKRELL WAS B. IN MD d.IN 1780, d. in Pittsylvania Co. Va 16 July 1835. Walter m. Judith Dalton 21 Dec. 1801. They had five(5) children:


a. Henry, Sr. b. about 1807 and m. Mary Polly Mayhew 17 Sept. 1822. They had 13 (thirteen) children, 7 sons and 6 daughters.
b.Nancy married Lemuel Hodges 21 Jan. 1822.
c. John m. Anna Dalton 15 July 1833. They had eight (8) children .
d. Wyatt, b. 1813, m. Mildred (Milly) Doss 8 Oct. 1829. Six (6) Children: Nancy, Coley, Elizath, Martha, Andrew and Mary.
e. William m.Mary E. McNeilely 18 Feb 1841. They had one son named John Pickerel who was badly wounded in the Civil War. The top of his head was shot off and he had a silver plate in the top of his head. William also went into the Civil War at age 46 but was discharged after one year due to injury to his leg. William had eleven (11) children: Susan, John, Catherine Jane, Winie, Elizabeth A., Mary, William, James, David, Malitie and Joseph.

"Directory of Maryland State Society Daughters of the American Revolution and Their Revolutionary Ancestors 1892-1965", John Williams is recognized as a Patriot ancestor by the DAR. He was shown with his wife Eleanor Hite, three children, and their spouses. The name of his descendant who became a DAR member, Dora A. Kearney, was also shown, along with her DAR number."


III. John Williams((3)) (William((2)), John((1))), son of William Williams and Lucy Clayton, his wife; was a Revolutionary soldier, enlisting in August, 1777, and serving till February, 1781. He was in the State service, and attained the rank of Major, March 3, 1783; he received a land warrant for 4,000 acres of land 1770; married Eleanor Hite, the third daughter of Isaac Hite, of "Long Meadows," Frederick Co., Va., and his wife, Eleanor Eltinge. She was b. October 21, 1750; d. October 24, 1785, leaving issue:
