Extract taken from the bible of Joseph A. Traylor: "Sister Ann
Turk was born September 22, 1808 and died at her home in
Lawrence Co., MO, December 20, 1891. She married Noah G. Turk
April 10, 1827. Sixteen children blessed this union....Sister
Turk was almost the mother of the Southern Methodist Church in
this county and we feel that we havenot only lost a sister in
Christ but a mother...."
Her will is recorded at Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., MO. She left
80 acres to her son, John C. Turk, and personal property sold
and after paying debts, divided among other children. Will dated
6 Aug 1872. Names children: Thomas C., Benjamin K., Amanda
Allen, Mary A. Traylor ,Margaret J. Kelley, Alberine M., Julia
Dowdy, Lusary Harris, Martishey McKinzie and John C. Turk.
Affadavit by Thomas S. Kelley states children of Lusary Harris
are: Benjamin Harris, Cora Margason, Julia & Emma Harris.
Copy of old bible records - "Noah G. Turk and Anbloyne Carter
was married and joined together in the year of our lord March
10th 1827. N.G. Turk was born June 18th 1807. Anbloyne Carter
was born Sept 22t h1811."

"Beasley was in Natchez District, Mississippi, 1783. Lucy and
family came to Texas in 1825, was on Mexican Census of 1826,
Atascosita District (now Liberty County, Texas). He died in West
Liberty (now Dayton), Liberty County, Texas.
He was a private in Capt Frank Hardkin's company of volunteers
from Liberty County. He received a bounty warrent for 320 acres.
