"I am looking for descendants of James STODDERT who emmigrated
from Scotland circa 1675 and settled in LaPlata, Charles county,
Maryland. He had three sons with his first wife, Mary: James,
William & John. He then had two sons with his second wife,
Elizabeth BISHOP, whom he married in 1709: Benjamin (b. ca 1710)
& Thomas (b. ca 1712). James was the grandfather of Benjamin
STODDERT, the first Secretary of the Navy. I would love to
exchange information with members of this STODDERT family."
