Wm. D. Taylor
CODICAL-'My will and desire is that I wish my wife to be
supported well out of my estate as long as she may live and the
Surplus of my estate to be divided between my daughters: Mary
Davis, Nancy Moore, Susan Arnall, Sally Lemay and Patsey Arnall
& to their legal heirs that may leave at their death. My wish
also is that Nancy Moon, Sally Lemay, Susan Arnall and Patsy
Arnall may have a home on my land during my wife's life if they
wish it. And that neither of my sons William B. Arnall, Joseph
Arnall nor Richard Arnall shall have anything to do with or to
live on any part of the land I may leave at the time of my
death. In testimoney whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed my seal this 15th of January 1835. Signed Sealed and
acknowledged in the presence of Claiborn Mallory

Wm. D. Taylor, Edmund H. Lowry Henry Arnall, Junr.
At a Court of Monthly Session held for Hanover County at the
Courthouse on Tuesday the 26th of May 1835. This last will and
Testament of Henry Arnall, dec'd was proved by the oaths of
Jonathan M. Morris witnesses thereunto and the Codicil therewith
returned was proved by the oath of William D. Taylor, witnesses
thereto and at a Court of Quarterly Session continued & held
for the said County at the Courthouse on Wednesday the 29th day
of July then next following the said Codicil was further proved
by the oaths of Caliborn Mallory and Henry Arnall, Jr. two other
witnesses thereto which will and codicil are ordered to be
recorded. Teste, Philip B. Winston, C.H.C. A Copy, Teste, R.
O. Doswell, D.C. H.C. Henry Arnall, of Hanover. Will dated 30
Aug 1834, Codicil 15 Jan 1835. Probated 26 May 1835. Wm. D.
Taylor, Executor, qualified 22 Dec 1835. Securities Joseph
Patterson and Samuel Lemay. Taylor was dead in 1858, George K.
Taylor his Admr. Widow Mary Arnall died during the latter part
of 1835. Part of their children: Susan (Suckey), married Dabney
Alvis, survived him and died without issue, intestate prior to
22 Dec 1857, when: "On motion of Thos. J. Malolory and Elizabeth
his wife, James A. Harwood, Sheriff of Hanover, appointed
Administrator." Rebecca, wife of Dabney Alvis prior to the death
of her father. He survived her. Their children are
non-residents of this Commonworth and their names are unknown.
Dabney Alvis married secondly Susan, her sister."
