Notes

"Margaret married Symon Miller shortly after John Prosser died. Symon Miller was a shipbuilder, large landowner and hero. Tyler's Quarterly Magazine, Vol. 12 contains an article, "Simon Miller, Captain in Bacon's Rebellion" written by Rev. Arnold Harris Hord of Germantown, PA. He states that the will of Symon Miller included bequests to the sons of John Prosser whose names are unknown. Then it lists the children of Symon and Margaret Miller to be:
1. Isabella, born 2,16, 1679, married William Triplett
2. Simon (Colonel)
3. Margaret married James Hord
4. William
5. John
6. Susannah married Henry Brice

Symon Miller died in 1684 and his will was proved in Old Rappahannock County on May 2, 1684. Margaret is still alive at that time. One web source listed her death date as 1710. Nothing further is known about her."

Elizabeth "Bettie" SA(U)NDERS, b: 1810/12, Franklin County, Tennessee ~ died 1865/66, Marshall County, Alabama ~ Daughter of William Arthur SA(U)NDERS and Anne Elizabeth "Annie" DANIEL, b: 1795, Georgia ~ d: 1859, Franklin County ~ Daughter of Joseph DANIEL and Elizabeth Andrew(s) CALLAWAY.

Elizabeth "Bettie" SA(U)NDERS married (1) Tillman M. SMITH on 9 SEP 1826 in Franklin County, Tennessee.

After the death of Tillman, Elizabeth married widower (2) Nimrod SANDRIDGE on 29 AUG 1858, Franklin County, Tennessee. There were no issues from this marriage.

They took some of Elizabeth's youngest children and moved to Marshall County, near Hillian's Store, Alabama, after the death of her mother, Annie DANIEL in 1859.

I note you also have Elizabeth's brother shown in your file ~ Hardy Holman SANDERS, b: 1816 ~ he married Catherine Anne CLAMPET, b: 1819 ~ d: after 1900 ~ Daughter of Mathias Masten CLAMPETT, b: 1790, and Rebecca NICHOLSON, b: 1792, Stokes County, North Carolina.

I am seeking the parents of Tillman M. SMITH, bc: 1804 ~ d: before 1858, and who married (1) Elizabeth "Bettie" SA(U)NDERS, if anyone can help, would be appreciated. Also, anything about Nahum SANDERS who moved to Stokes County where he died ~ and then one of his sons, Benjamin, ended up in Franklin County, Tennessee for a spell. To date, no immediate connection has been found connecting Nathum to William, father of Elizabeth SANDERS~SMITH~SANDRIDGE.
Thanks, Annie
