The marriage certificate is found on Page 19 of the Cedar Creek
[Richmond] Monthly Meeting Minutes, available at the Virginia
State Archives. In the typescript at the Valentine Museum,
Richmond, VA, the marriage cerificate is found on pages 26-27.
John Stanley, The Eldest, died 17d. 7m. 1783 Cedar Creek,
Hanover Co aged about 90 years. Deed: John Stanley for the sum
of 40 shillings 400 acres on both sides of Chiswell's Swamp, 24
Feb 1724. Deed: John Stanley for the sum of 45 shillings 400
acres on both sides of Clarks road beginning at William Briggs
corner 16 Aug 1756.
1724, 2, 4 John, Cedar Creek Mtg, rpd imprisoned for refusing to
pay tithes; next mo he was freed his fines paid, against his
will, by a non-Quaker.

The Swartz family has been identified with the settlement of the
Drinker's Beach area (Drinker, Luzerne/Lackawanna,
Pennsylvania).
I tied into the Swartz Line with Father William Swartz/ Son
Phillip/ Son Michael Swartz/ Son Johann (John) Phillip Swartz.
