From: Albert Feigenson [email protected] To: [email protected]

Ms. Bonner, I found your web site by doing a web search for "Edmond Jennings Lee,
III". I did so because I "rescued" an antique portrait which had a lengthy note on the back saying that the man was Edmund Jennings Lee, III. The note was written by his granddaughter, Rebecca. The portrait is signed, "AH Spinwall", or "AHL Spinwall". Do you know if this likeness is known to his descendents or to historians? (Mr. Lee is shown facing left, is clean shaven except for a mustache. It seems to be a charcoal and pencil work, or maybe it's a soft focus photograph to which some pencil lines have been added to make it look like a hand drawn portrait. I know little about art. It's just a guess) Thanks, Albert Feigenson
