Some loose Shackelfords Grouped here for Research purposes - relationship of kids on this card to each other is not determined yet, but each ones descendants are. please write [email protected].

"Henry and Francis were the only two Shacklefords recorded as living in Essex Co. and a John, of Gloucester Co. VA. Henry first appears in 1704 as witness to Francis Shacklefords document. One other Shackleford appears in records Essex Co. before 1730, that was Charles, on 17 Nov 1719, an orphan age 14 and of S. Farnham Parish, bound himself an apprentice to Joseph Baker. (Joseph, husband of Amy, Frances' mother)".

In the book Christopher Reynolds and His Descendants by S. F. Tillman, he lists an Anne who married William Shackleford on 16 March 1812. Anne was the daughter of Jesse Reynolds who served in the Revolutionary War in the Virginia State Line. The source does not state where Jesse was located but his father is listed as being a resident of Pittsylvania County.
