A large marble grave stone errected by the Mississippi Baptist
Historical Society marks his grave in the middle of a cow
pasture in Amite Co., MS near Ebenezer Baptist Church founded by
Richard in 1806. Richard died at the home of his sister Mrs.
John (Hannah)Courtney and is buried in the yard there.
