THESE PRESENTS, That we Ira H. Via Clifton Via & Stephen
Sandridge are held and firmly bound unto Tho W Gilmer Governor
or Chief Magistrate of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and his
successors in office, in the just and full sum of one hundred
and fifty dollars, current money, to which payment well and
truly to be made, we bind ourselves jointly and severally,
firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals, and dated this
4th day of May 1840.
THE CONDITION OF THE ABOVE OBLIGATION IS SUCH, That whereas
there is a Marriage shortly intended to be had and solemnized
between the above bound Ira H Via and Sarah Sandridge of
Albemarle County. Now, if there be no lawful cause to obstruct
