In 1213/4 he was with King John in Poitou, but in 1215 he was
one of the twenty five Barons appointed to guarantee the
observance of the Magna Carta. In 1218 he accompanied the Earl
of Chester on Crusade & fought at the Battle of Damietta. Died
22 July 1240.
