Sarah PEMBERTON

ABT 1735 - ABT 1816

ID Number: I103218

  • BIRTH: ABT 1735, Virginia
  • DEATH: ABT 1816, Feliciana Parish, Louisiana
  • RESOURCES: See: LDS AF RTZ0-V0 [S3737]
Father: George PEMBERTON

Family 1 : Thomas CARNEY II
  1. +Elizabeth CARNEY
  2. +Thomas CARNEY III
  3.  John CARNEY

Notes

1. Thomas Carney owned land adjacent to George Pemberton as mentioned in a survey by George Washington
2. Thomas' wife is identified as Sarah when the property was sold on 7 Dec 1774 in Berkley Co., public records.
3. In the Pemberton Family Scrapbook, George Pemberton II is listed with sons Isaiah and George III along with three daughters (unnamed) one of whom married Henry Lloyd, one who married Charles Sneed and one who married Thomas Carney.
4. The will of George Pemberton II identifies the three daughters as Ann, Judi, and Sarah.
5. The will of Thomas Carney identifies "Sarah Pemberton" as his wife and names their 9 children, one deceased as of 1801.
By other means we have proven that Judi married Henry Lloyd and the above proves that Sarah married Thomas Carney so by the process of elimination Ann must have married Charles Sneed.

A portion of Sarah Pemberton Carney's will:
