Notes

Abraham Bing Whiteley?

"Abraham Bing Whiteley, one of the sons given in Arthur Whiteley I's will recorded in the Maryland Calendar of Wills.

The Rich Family History by Julia Rich Hogan, a 2nd edition published in 3 volumes, has a great deal of information about Arthur Whiteley I's marriage to the widow, Elizabeth Rich by 1705. Included in that was that Arthur Whiteley I had married Joan Bing by 1719.

What I don't understand is if my ancester, Abraham Bing Whiteley was born in 1705, why would his father marry a JOAN BING in 1719? I have no idea whom Abraham Bing Whiteley married nor is buried, except he died in 1775 in Dorchester Co., MD after inheriting land from his father, Arthur Whiteley I around 1735.

My Abraham Bing Whiteley had the following children:
Anna Elizabeth b. ca 1750,
Elizabeth b. ca 1752 m. Peter Grayless (b.1763) d. Aug. 1839 (Elizabeth migrated to Indiana with two nephews, Isaac and Daniel, as a widow whose son died young. She is buried at the Milton (Indiana) Friends Cemetery.)
Abraham Bing, Jr. b. ca 1754
William b. ca 1756 m. Delitha d. 15 Aug. 1816
ANTHONY WHITELEY (my direct ancestor) b. ca 1758 MARRIED 1st SOPHIA LOWE (d. 1809) and MARRIED 2nd SARAH WRIGHT on 23 Jan 1812 in THIRD HAVEN QUAKER CHURCH, EASTON MARYLAND."
