George Morris Waddell was born in 1848 in East Baton Rouge, LA. He appears in the 1850 census at the age of 2 in the household of Abel and Loretta. They are a bit old to be his parents, and he may be the son of Eleanor Waddell, who is also listed in the census.

No Morris or Elleanor in 1860. This is also why I wonder if Elleanor was George Morris Waddell's mother. George Morris Waddell ended up in Texas, an "itinerant sign painter and gambler". He died at age 33 in Denison, Texas. Melinda Patrick EMail: 8/99
