"The land willed to Abraham Sellers by his father-in-law,
Captain John Norwood, at John's death in 1839 was eventually
sold for $800 (346 acres) to Mills and William Vann on January
6, 1841. According to the deed, the land had been granted by
Elias DuBose to John Norwood by deed on January 8, 1790. [Deed
Book N, page 632, Darlington District, SC)
Following the sale of the land shown above, a certificate of
assent and approval of the conveyance was signed on January 14,
1841 by the children of Abraham Sellers and Mary Sarah Norwood
Sellers (deceased). This was necessary because the land had been
willed to Mary's children and not Abraham. The names of the
children are reflected in the deed and represent my source for
their names and approximate ages. Also, the name of Abrahams
second wife, Nancy, was shown as an attachment to the deeds.
All of the above information was obtained from the files of
Effie Norwood Jones who researched this matter in the 1960s.
[Index 287, Effie Norwood Jones CD]."

Patsy and Cecilia. John D and Isabella's children were: Cannon,
Walter, Thomas, William Harrison (my grgrgrandfather, Wilson,
Ellen and John III.
William Harrison married Nancy Hurst (daughter of Henry Hurst
who came to Amite Co., Ms from Northumberland Co., Va. and they
had the following children: Poline who md William Bridges;
Barrett Travis (my grgrandfather) who married Virginia Bridges;
John Joseph md Lavenia Lea; Richard Henry Travis md Ruth

My 3nd great grandfather, Edward WHITE, had two daughters, Ruth
and Sophronia, who married brothers James Cannon TRAVIS and
Richard Henry TRAVIS. They were living in Amite Co, MS prior to
1850, and migrated to Sabine Co, TX after 1850. I have always
heard that the TRAVIS brothers were of a collateral line of
William Barrett TRAVIS, Commander at the Siege of the Alamo.
Would anyone on the list be able to help me confirm or refute
this? Cannon and Richard were said to be the son of William
TRAVIS. Thank you.
