Notes

Caleb was a successful planter in GA moving to East Feliciana in abt 1820. He was murdered in 1829. Several versions are around concerning his death at the hand of his wife - Ann Minerva see notes in her record.

Caleb was possibly in the War of 1812 and met Ann Minerva Bryant in GA. Her father's wife and other sibs have not been found. One sister found Maria m. to Howell Rose in Chesterfueld Co. VA removed to Autagus, AL d. 1873. 7/99 7/97

Caleb was about twenty three years old when he moved to Feliciana parish, Louisiana, so I suspect he married Minerva Bryant in Elbert or Putnam? County Georgia, although we have found no marriage record. He was certainly old enough to have served in the war of 1812, but only his cousins James, Joseph, Jacob, Willis, and Lindsey Higginbotham appear on the roster of veterans.

Notes

Children:
Anna Maria, March 16, 1856; Linn Co. MO
Robert Carter, May 30, 1857; Linn Co. MO
Lilzzie, June 26, 1859; Linn Co. MO
Geoge William, July 14, 1861, all of whom were born in Missouri;

Annie Grant 28 Jul 1865 Marengo Co. AL
Samuel and
Mary, twins, February 10, 1867;
Ruth, May 5, 1869;
Thomas Pendleton, March 2, 1871;
Emily McKay, December 10, 1872, all of whom were born in Marengo

County, Alabama;
Edith Louise, July 24, 1875;
John Pendleton, September 15, 1877;
W. W. Corcoran, January 27, 1880, the last three born in Demopolis, Alabama.

Not all of the 13 children grew to maturity. Checking the 1880 census records of Marengo County to weed out some of the names was out of my range. The records were too faint to read.
Please see what you can do. It's important to know that the names were listed in a Bible and the person who sent me the names is dead. She was a descendant of George Jr. She had a sister in Brazil. Helen-Brazil

The mother died in Pensacola, Florida, about 1905.
If anyone has a lead to this family, please send it to me.
