- Robert moved from the Cedar Swamp Section of Craven Co to Charleston Dist. He settled above the Old Bigham Church, and opened a house of entertainment on the great throughfare road to the city of Charleston.


"Robert m. Martha Hamilton sister of Elizabeth who m. Wm Lindsay De Hay --thus paternal and maternal grandmothers of Arthur Hamilton De Hay, Sr. were sisters.
