Albert Humrickhouse was born May 5, 1787 in Philadelphia PA.
He died July 12, 1864, during Jubal Early's invasion of
Shepherdstown on his way into Maryland on his way toward

The Humrick-house family goes back through Albert's father Peter
(who had 13 children and lived in Hagerstown) and fought in the
Revolutionary War, to Joannes, who was born Germany, and arrived
in the U.S. in the mid 1700s. Albert was a prosperous merchant
in Shepherdstown. He ran a general store, and owned a coach
line that moved people and
goods from the Ohio River to Maryland. His father Peter built
coaches in Hagerstown. Albert was also was postmaster, since
the mail came in by coach."

Title: Lindsays of the World
Author: Ken Lindsay
Text: Anthony Lindsay Sr., in my opinion, was born 1705 and
christened in
Stepney, London, England. It has not been proven; however, many
of us believe he was the son of Samuel Lindsay and Elizabeth
______. Nobody seems to know when he died; however, there is
reason to believe he may have died in Baltimore Co. MD. If so,
he is probably buried in that county. See 1730-1 Maryland
Colonial Wills, Prince Georges Co, folio20, page 158. It appears
that Francis Tolson paid Anthony's way from England to the
Maryland Colony. Anthony married Tolson's stepdaughter, Alice
Page, about 1725. She was born about 1700, probably in
London,England and was the daughter of ____ Page and Ann Marsh.
We do not know when or where she died.
Children: Lorenzo, Henry, Alva John, Adelia (burned when four
years old), three children died while infants, Alvira (died when
eleven years old), and Joseph, Jr.
