V. John Washington((4)), Captain Continental line, 4th Va.,
Reg., commissioned April, 1776. His name is not on the army roll
after 1777. If he died in the service, his heirs would have been
entitled to 4,000 acres of land which was allowed them Aug. 10,
1832. On May 10, 1838, warrants were issued to his heirs for
1,104 acres for a service of seven years and seven months (Cong.
Rep. 1062, 1842, p. 36.) In 1832 two warrants for 666 1/3 acres
each were issued to his heirs, Elizabeth Lund Thompson and
Catherine Foote Thompson, and one for the same amount to Richard
T. Thompson, and one for 2,000 acres to Lund Washington.
Children of Townshend Washington and Elizabeth Lund:
I. Susanna Washington, was born November 3, 1727, Stafford
County, Virginia and died February 1, 1728.
II. Townshend Washington Jr., was born September 12, 1733,
Stafford County, Virginia and died February 25, 1736. He was
buried after February 25, 1736. He died young.
III. Lund Washington, was born October 21, 1737, Stafford
County, Virginia. He married Elizabeth Foote. According to
Rent Rolls, Lund Washington lived in Fairfax County, Virginia.
Novemeber 20, 1779, Lund Washington bought 1000 acres of land in
Ohio County, Virginia.
"Nov. 20, 1779 - Ohio County - 1000a. on main fork of Shirtee
Creek where the Migo road crosses said creek" Lund Washington

IV. John Washington, was born March 14, 1740 Hylton, King George
County, Virginia and died 1782. He married Catherine
Washington, daughter John Washington and Mary Massey.
V. Lawrence Washington, was born March 14, 1740, Stafford
County, Virginia. According to Rent Roll, he lived in Stafford
County, Virginia up to 1773
VI. Henry Washington, was born August 29, 1742 in Stafford
County, Virginia and died December 31, 1743. He was buried
December 31, 1743.
VII. Townshend Washington Jr., was born February 25, 1736,
Stafford County, Virginia and died July 20, 1761, the service of
T?. He was buried after July 20, 1761
VIII. Thomas Washington, was born March 24, 1731, Stafford
County, Virginia and died 1794, Southampton, Virginia. He
married Ann Muse

Richard Woods was born December 22, 1790, was in the war of
1812, and died in 1863. The children born to him were eight in
number: Andrew, William, Merit, Morton, Elizabeth, John, Mary
and Rice. Andrew Woods' maternal grandfather, John Rice, came to
Jessamine County from Germany.
