"Simon's death: intestate, as indicated by "Inventory," Simon
Hancock, Jany 13, 1831, LDS, Microfilm, 0828248, Henry Co, KY
Wills vol 5-6 1831-38.
Further evidence that this Simon was the Simon Hancock (brother
of William, Jr; son of William, Sr.) from Loudoun Co., Va., is
shown in that: 1) The family of Lucy Combs, the wife of Simon's
son, Thomas Bartlett Hancock, was also from Loudoun Co.,
Virginia. Close ties with the Combs and Lintons are indicated by
Robert Combs' marriage to Sarah Linton, first cousin of Simon
Hancock. 2) Will of Forrest D. Hancock, WB 18 P 637 (Henry Co.,
KY), dated 7/9/1952, probated 8/31/1957, refers to his farm
called "Louden Farm." Forrest was son of William Hancock, son of
Thomas B. Hancock, son of Simon Hancock."

i. Samuel Hancock died before 1806.
ii. Elizabeth Hancock married John Samuel 3 December 1798.
iii. William Mason Hancock
iv. Susannah Hancock
