The booklet describes Mahaut d'Artois as a strong headed woman
who had to fight to get what she wanted. She did her part for
the Arts, bringing artists from Paris to Franche-Comt‚ and
Artois. She founded the Hospital at Hesdin, Brancon and provided
sums of money for others hospitals. She gave to the poor
(distribution of 500 pairs of Shoes for the poor in Paris and
the same in Franche-Comt‚)."
