William and his sons had a large number of acres in Trion,
Chattooga Co., Georgia. William bought the land from a close
family member who drew the land in the Georgia Land Lottery. But
he did draw land in Elbert County but he sold it to buy the
Chattooga County land. My parents still live on the land in one
of the original four family homes.

“William Penn married Abigail Wilson, b. June 1, 1791, d. March
23, 1868. Six children were born to William and Abby: James,
Elizabeth, Harriett, Mary, William, John and James. Two of the
sons, James and John, married sisters, Jane and Lucy Ham.”
the Chattooga County Courthouse burned in the early 1900s and
all of the records were lost. we have all the records you will
ever need. Some are online. Others will be soon. We have this
part of the family well documented since we have many original
documents going as far back as 1800. We even have the original
Georgia Land Lottery Grant documents. We can document
Revolutionary War descendent status."
