court 1824 --- Isham Harris lends to wife Martha for life or
widowhood the land whereon I live, formerly known as "the Chalk
Level Tract", all negroes;
to son Isham Harris, a negro slave;
to son Willie Harris, a slave;
to my reputed grandson Anderson Green Harris, land I bought of
William H. Sims, containing 125 acres and a tract adjoining of
75 acres, a slave, a horse, featherbed and furniture, livestock,
and $50.00 cash when he is of age but, if he die without issue,
then to return to my above named children; all land given to
return to my above named children;
all land given wife, at her death, to be sold and also all
negroes, excepting three, and divide money, after debts paid, to
Newson Harris, Ransom Harris, Rowland Harris, Willie Harris,
Hardy Harris, Isham Harris, Britain Harris, Patsey Revis, my
children;
to Daniel J. Reavis, who married my daughter Patsey Harris, the
property in eight parts, and they to draw lots. Exrs: Hardy and
