Message: I have in my possession a copy of a letter from Hubbard
Taylor Jr. to James Taylor Eubank of Newport Ky. dated Sept. 23,
1814 Clarke County
Dear James:
Congress is now in session and as it is necessary that a Law
should be passed for the payment of the Quartermasters who were
in service and acted after the 2d of March 1813 & before the new
appointed officers relieved them I think it will be necessary
for us to write to our members in Congress to have the law
brought forward and the case provided for Mr. Mayo had also
better write yourself & myself.
