He devised William Beale (named as grandson in distribution)
land purchased from Joseph Arthis but in the event of his death
without issues then to Josiah Beale, and in case of the latter's
death without issues then to the testator's grandson William
Read Smoot.
Other heirs were his grandson Josiah Beale who received the
dwelling-plantation in St. Mary's County, son Josiah Beale, and
grandchildren Sarah Beale, Mary Smoot, and Sarah Smoot. The

Father: IVO Viscount of Cotentin Mother: EMME de BRETAGNE Countess of Bretagne |
"It is in the story of Odard and his descendants that our
interest lies, for Odard was the first of the Duttons, of
Dutton. Tradition has it that Odard was a resident of Normandy,
who in the company of Nigel, who became first Baron of Halton,
was part of Duke William’s invading army. He was probably given
the land at Dutton in recognition of his services. The Domesday
Book records that there were three families living on Odard’s
manor, and that there was a large wood with a hawks eyrie.
Odard came to England with William, the Conqueror. Probably as a
reward for his services he was given the land at Dutton, held
through the Earl of Chester."

Mother: KATHERINE FLOOD FLUDD |
They were children of Sir Thomas Fludd, Knight. "Sometimes
Treasurer of War to Queen Elizabeth in France and the Low
Countries", and were born in Bearstead, Kent. Robert Fludd was
four times Censor of the Royal College of Physicians. He lived
at Fenchurch Street and died, unmarried, on 8 Sept 1637 at his
house in the parish of St. Catherine, Colman Street, London. His
nephew was Thomas Fludd, or Floyd, of Gore Court, Otham, Kent.
another sister married Sir Nicholas Gilbourne of Charing, Kent.
Herin lies the connection to John Fludd (Flood), who emigrated
to Virginia in 1610 on the Swan. After the death of Sir Thomas
Lunsford in 1653, Elizabeth Lunsford (nee Wormely) remarried
again to Major-General Robert Smith. Robert Smith was one of
three agents, along with Francis Moryson and Thomas Ludwell sent
by the Assembly of Virginia in 1676 to King Charles II to
attempt to help secure passage of the Royal Charter for Virginia
following Bacon's rebellion."

From Linda ubah
http://genforum.genealogy.com/monroe/messages/547.html "I am a
descendent of Andrew Monroe who married Ann Bell. Andrew
supposedly is the son of William and Rachel (Piper) Monroe. I
have not been able to document this, but I feel certain this is
correct. All of my family history that has been passed on
including a tree done in the mid 1800's seems to verify this
info. Andrew was the second cousin of James. Some of the books
have Ann Bell married to the Andrew that was the brother of
James. This is incorrect.
the History of Woodford Co. and excerpts are reprinted in the
Register of the KY Historical Society pp.241-242. Please
disregard the book we have been refering to as much of the info
is incorrect. the Wintzer book is not reliable.
I am sending my email address to you as I would like to share
other family info with you that I have in my Monroe files. You
can reach me at [email protected]."
