All and every ye persons herein before mentioned are seated
between ve creeks (excepted Duclow and Sneadow) who came also in
ye first ship and are settled on ye other side ye said creek.
And these that follow are likewise sealed between ye said creeks
but came in the third ship, (vizt.): Rapine, his wife and 2
children, - 4
Deed 20 Jul 1731 Goochland Co. VA: Capt. Anthony Rapine to
Nicholas Souille, 62.5 acres granted the said Rapine by patent
31 Oct 1716. signed by Anthoy Rapine and Margerite Rapine.
Of his 4 land patents, one was in the French settlement #783.
His will was recorded 11/15/1737 leaving a Wife Margaret, and
one daughter Mary Ann Marton and husband Peter Marton. When the
estate was settled the 24th Aug 1747, (Goochland co. VA: Wills &
Deeds 1742-1749) it was divided between Margaret Rapeen, his
widow and Thomas Smith, Husband of his dec'd daughter. Share to
Smith was 204 pounds.
June 30th, 1730, was born Jaque Billiebo, son of Jean Billiebo
and of Susane, his wife; was baptized the 16th of August by Mr.
Marye; had for godfather, Antoine Rapine and Estiene Mallet; for
godmother, Olive Mallet. The parties have declared that he was
born the day and year above named. Jean Chastain, Clerk.
The 20th May, 1733, was born Fransoise Scot, daughter of Edward
Scot and of Anne, his wife; was baptized the 1st of June of the
said year; had for godfather, Antoine Rapine; and Mart Soblet
and Mariane Bariere for godmother.
Listed 1719 1st tithe list for King Wm Parish, VA with
Margarete, and son Daniel is shown as a tithable in Antoine's
home. Antoine died between 10 Apr 1737 (date of Will) and 15
Nov 1737 (date of probate).
The 5th September, 1728 [1729], was born Charle Pero,93 son of
Daniel Pero and of Marie Pero; was baptized by Mr. Mason,
minister; had for godfather and godmother Antoine Rapine and his
wife.
The 20th May, 1733, was born fransoise Scot, daughter of Edwald
Scot and of Anne, his wife; was baptized the 1st of June of the
said year; had for godfather, Antoine Rapine; and Mart Soblet
and Mariane Bariere for godmother.
