LeGrand, a Huguenot, fled France for Le haye, Holland. They
sailed from London to Virginia in 1700.Pierre LeGrand, his wife,
and five children arrived in the company of 106 Huguenot
refugees from London.

Descendants," Virginia Mag of History & Biography, Genealogies
of VA Families vol. IV, Virginia Genealogies #1, FTM CD162, p.
331-333:
"Pierre Le Grand, his wife and five children, came over in the
second ship bringing French refugees to Virginia, September
1700. Among these children was Pierre (Peter) Le Grand, who
married Jane Magdalen Michaux (baptized in Amsterdam, Holland,
January 3, 1697). The date of birth of Peter Le Grand is not
known. The date of his marriage to Jane Michaux is not known. In
one of the family papers it is stated that they were married in
1713, when Jane was 16 or 17 years old. But this does not seem
probable. . . ."
