The first Bush in our line arrived on American soil in 1670
Virginia. He sailed from Bristol, England as an apprentice to
William Roberts and agreed to work for him 4 years in Virginia
in order to pay for his passage. This is found in ( The Complete
Book of Emigrants-Peter Wilson Coldham- page 161
By 1677 Richard was already married to Elizabeth Bibby whose
father was John Bibby of England and Lancaster and Old
Rappahannock County,Virginia. and said that Elizabeth had
brothers William, John, and George Bibby.
