Elisha (Sr) Abner/ ABNEY (Abner, Dannett) was born about 1745 in Albemarle County, Virginia. He died 1810 in Clay County, Kentucky.
He had the following children:
i. Rebecca ABNEY. Rebecca married John CHANCELLOR.
ii. Hezekiah ABNEY was born about 1774 in Augusta County, Virginia.
iii. Joshua ABNEY was born about 1778. Joshua married Patsy PHELPS on 6 May 1795 in Green County, Kentucky.
iv. Elisha( JR) ABNER was born 1784 and died Betw 1851 & 1860.
v. Dorcas ABNEY was born about 1786 in Wilkes County, Virginia. Dorcas married James WOOD on around 12-12- 1808 in Clay County, Kentucky. James and Dorcas agreed on marriage contract 12 Dec 1808 in Clay County, Kentucky.
vi. Monroe ABNEY was born about 1788 in Wilkes County, Virginia. Monroe married Agnes BOWLING on 23 Mar 1813 in Clay County, Kentucky.
vii. Minion ABNER was born 1790.
viii. Mary "Polly" ABNER/ABNEY was born about 1792 and died 20 Apr 1881.
ix. John ABNER was born about 1794.
x. Enoch ABNEY was born about 1796 in Carter County, Tennessse. Enoch married (1) Ann PRICE on 18 or 23 Jan 1822 in Clay County, Kentucky. Enoch also married (2) Elizabeth THOMAS on 30 Aug 1838 in Clay County, Kentucky.

Mary Thornton is believed to have met Everard Meade while visiting relatives in Amelia Co. Virginia, who had also moved from Gloucester county. There is no record of just when or where their marriage took place. Mary is believed to have died before the Revolution. She left several children. One of them David Meade married Elizabeth Randolph, his first cousin, daughter of Richard Randolph, Jr. of Curles and Anne Meade his wife and sister of Edward Meade. Mary Thornton was a lineal descendant through her father, of Lord Thornton of East Newton, Yorkshire who lived during the reign of Edward II of England.
