counties of Kentucky (with Lincoln and Jefferson Counties), it
was created on 30 Jun 1780. Page 310. Most records for before 31
Jan 1803 were destroyed by fire. A second fire on 14 May 1897
also destroyed some early records.

Jeremiah's birthdate is estimated according to census records
and age he would have had to be to partake in the Revolutionary
War as reported. The war was from 1775-1783 the battle at
Guilford Court where Jeremiah was wounded happened in 1781 so
Jeremiah had to have been at least 15 or 16 by then. According
to census records for 1810 and 1820 he would have been
born between 1765 and 1775. Since he faught in the war that
would make him born closer to 1765.
