Its not in the history of the Turner Family by W, A Rosky who eliminated Richard as one of James and Mary's sons, as well as eliminating several other of their children.

Many Children do not agree with submittals of another researcher.

"Richard came from the Parish of Russel in Bedford Co. VA. His will was written on Oct. 28, 1768 and executed in June of 1769. It mentions the following children:
Mary (m. Leftwich)
James
Jesse

Notes

Sources Mary (Greear) South gedcom. Judith Ware was the daughter of Edward Ware (1760-1838) and Sarah "Sally" Thurmond, son of Nicholas Ware and Mary Thompson. .

"The 3rd child, Judith Ware was lost to us for about 150 years with only the scant mention as:
"Judith Ware b in Va 10/20/1785 m. Nelson Higginbotham and moved to Louisiana where they had 11 chn." We had 4 listed James, Salley, Mary & Rebecca Higginbotham. Until some time in 1967 when a descendant a Mrs. Lloyd in Taft, CA came upon a copy of our 2nd edition--then she and other scattered descendants sent in a remarkably large number of her descendents shown on the following pages.
