The 5th Lord Audley according to the time honoured method of counting baronial titles was a said Nicholas. As such he was a true and last male in the Audley line. He died in 1391 and was married to Elizabeth. His co heiress was his sister who married Sir John Touchet.

Notes

The first record found of Anthony Gholson Sr. (Golson, Gholston, Golsan) is his purchase of 200 acres on the south side Holloday Swamp, Saint Geroge Parish, Spotsylvania County, VA in 1725. He received a 1000 acre land grant on Terrys Run on Sept. 28, 1728. His sons, Anthony Jr. & William each received 500 acres at the same time.

Anthony Gholson Sr. purchased land from James Taylor who married first Frances Walker? and second Mary Gregory who married a Thomas after James' death. Anthony Sr. m. Jane before 1739. He died in Orange County, VA before Dec. 3, 1764. The known children of Anthony Sr. & Jane are as follows.
