"Following the death of her husband, Susannah moved to Amherst
County, where many of her 12 children lived. In 1769 she sold
the land in Orange County. Following her death in 1790 the

Margaret and Reuben signed the deed, as did her grandson James,
executor of his father John's estate."

4 Dec 1818 in St. Matthews Parish, Orangeburg Co., South
Carolina; died 31 Dec 1895 in Colleton County, South Carolina;
buried in U.D.C. Cemetery, St. George, Dorchester Co., S.C.. He
married bef. 1843 in South Carolina, Sarah Catherine (Thompson)
Parler, born 16 Dec 1825 in Orangeburg District, South Carolina;
died 16 Oct 1873 in Near George's Station, Colleton County,
South Carolina; buried in U.D.C. Cemetery, St. George,
Dorchester Co., S.C., daughter of George Thompson and Margaret
(Dantzler) Thompson.
Notes for Arnold Edward PARLER (Capt.) After marriage it is said
Arnold went to Arkansas, later returning to S.C. Capt. in
C.S.A., Military Records, STALLINGS Batt., Co.A, 8Batt. S.C.
Res., his pistol on display in Citadel Museum. His son John J.
served under him.
Arnold Edward PARLER Capt. and Sarah Catherine THOMPSON had the
