  • BIRTH: ABT 1840
  • DEATH: 16 Jun 1919, Myrtle, MS

Father: Stephen C. WHITE
Mother: Mary "Polly" HIGGINBOTHAM

  2.  William Stephen HIGGINBOTHAM

Notes

Mrs. Ann Higginbotham, Of Myrtle, Mississippi went to her reward on June 16, 1919. She became a member of the Methodist church when young and always did her "light shine". Her health had been failing for sometime, but no word of complaint did she utter. She often said all was well with her should she go.
Day before she went "home" she asked one of her grandsons, who had recently married to have family prayer and meet her in Heaven. Such a believer in prayer was she. I lived with her a part of two years and know she was a devoted Christian woman. Their home was the first built in the town of Myrtle; by her loving thoughts and gentle ministrations nearly all the homes in town had been touched by her life. She was always ready with her charity to help those in need. We all sorrow because she has gone, yet we rejoice because she died in hope. Only "over on the eternal hills of glory" will we ever know all the good she did.
Her Niece. Pontotoc, Mississippi
Newpaper clipping sent to Cathy Hodges by Elizabeth Moss Johnston.
