NOTE 13. ISAAC WINSTON.--- The Winstons of Virginia are said to
be descended from the ancient and honorable family of that name
in England. Four of the name emigrated from Yorkshire, England,
some time previous to the year 1710. Three brothers--- Isaac,
of the text, William Essex and James and a cousin, Pleasant
Winston. They were of the Society of Friends, and left England
to enjoy freedom of religion.
An Isaac Winston is of record of Yorkshire, England in 1620
whose son Isaac went to Wales.
Isaac WINSTON, A Saxon, b 1620, "Winston Ou Ha", village of
Wales, Yorkshire, England. In 1650 he moved to County Essex,
England where his son Isaac was born 1652.
Isaac WINSTON, 1652, s/o Isaac, moved from England to Wales
(the above not proved beyond doubt)
