* BILLINGTON, BYLLINGDON, BULLINGTON--BURKE gives the first two
spellings. FRANCIS BILLINGTON was one of CAPTAIN JOHN SMITH'S
Co., 6120 (v. " A plantation in New England." Arber's Ed., p
753)
NICHOLAS BILLINGTON was in Virginia 1623. (Col. Rec. 44.)
LUKE BILLINGTON received grants in Virginia, 250 acres in Acco'k
Co. Nov 24, 1654 for 5 heads.
LUKE BILLINGTON, 329 acres adjoining COL FANTEROY'S land on
Farnham Creek, March 18, 1663, 386 acres with JAMES TUNE on
Farnham Creek, Nov. 18, 1663, Mr. LUKE BILLINGTON, 679 acres in
Rapp'k Co., Farnham Par., Oct 30, 1669. He was a signer of the
Northhamption engagement, Mar 11, 1651. (NEIL'S Va. Car. 221.)
GEORGE BILLINGTON received 303 acres in Henrico Co., June 21,
1664.
ROBERT do., 100 acres do., May 26, 1669: 150 acres do., April 6,
1671; 144 acres do., May 16, 1678.
(S) Mr. S. writes me that BULLINGTON is the usual spelling in
the Henrico Co. records......
