That included land granted to his father Charles Morgan in 1824
and 1741.
William's will was dated 29 Apr 1797 and proved on 10 Oct 1797
in Kentucky.
The will is abstracted as follows: "To wife, to son Joseph, to

their increase and also two serviceable horses, one large waggon

plantations tools, nailes, locks, hinges and steel. At her
decease, 200 acres, old George, and any improvements on the land
would go to his son Joseph with the remainder being divided six
ways between his children James, William, Joseph, Daniel, Salley
and the daughter of his daughter Hannah Bruce. Other items were
given individually to the children. Slaves Harry, Beth, and her
children were to be sold and the money divided six ways among
various heirs.
