Ilene L. (Trout) Altmiller of Warminster passed away Wednesday, Sept, 16, 2015, in her home. She was 84.
Ilene was the beloved wife of the late Homer Altmiller, with whom she shared 49 years of marriage.
Born in Boswell, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Charles and Grace (Tressler) Trout.
Ilene was employed with various local companies as a production worker for many years. Outside of work, she was an active volunteer for the Ben Wilson Senior Center in Warminster and enjoyed playing Bingo there. She also enjoyed camping, and crocheting, and had a great love for flowers, spending many hours tending to her gardens.
Ilene is survived by her children, Gary L. Altmiller and companion, Joanne, Debbie Sheppleman (Paul), and Lisa I. Altmiller; her grandchildren, Ryan (Samantha), Amy, Jenn (Doug), Sarah (Matt), Matthew, and Joseph (Charissa); her great-grandchildren, Brielle, Haley, Brooklyn, Jordana, Kaden, Carlee, Kyler, Madison, and Ambri; her brothers, Charles Jr. and Roy; her sisters-in-law Betty, Lil and Lou; many friends and family; and her canine and feline companions, Spot, Leenie, and Finn.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing after 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro and to attend her Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ilene may be made to the Ben Wilson Senior Center, 580 Delmont Ave, Warminster, PA 18974, or to Doylestown Hospice, 875 N. Easton Rd, Doylestown, PA 18902.
