She was born in Wampum Aug. 4, 1913 to the late George and Maude Fye Veon. She had lived in California for the past 15 years.
Mrs. Smith was a former member of Wampum United Methodist Church.
She was married first to Charles Clark who died in 1957.
She is survived by her second husband, Melvin Smith; two daughters, Mrs. James (Rose Marie) Cunningham and Mrs. John (Zelda) Lynch, both of Anaheim; a sister, Mrs. George (Marie) Miller of Wampum and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Veon.
The body will be returned to the John D. Marshall Funeral Home, Main Street, where friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. A service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Charles Shaffer of the Wampum United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Clinton Cemetery.
