Born Aug. 26, 1928 in Indiana, Pa., son of Abraham and Lydia (Young) Davison . Preceded in death by parents, son William Leslie Davison Sr. and brother James R. Davison . Survived by wife the former Jennie Mardell Firestone to whom he was married 57 years; children: Curtis A. Davison married to the former Doris Zerfoss of Friedens; grandchildren: Jennifer and Christopher Davison both of Friedens, William L. Davison Jr. of Somerset; daughter-in-law: Cynthia Davison -Masterson of Somerset. Abraham was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked until his retirement as a coal miner for GMS Grove 3 in Jennerstown. He was also a member of the United Mine Workers, New Life Assembly of God, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and football. Friends received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home Somerset, where services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 24 with the Rev. Thomas J. Kroll officiating.
