Harold C. Coblentz

Harold C. Coblentz, 73, of 369 Avalon Drive died the morning of March 26, 2005, in Jameson Hospital.


Born July 28, 1931, in New Castle, he was a son of the late Robert and Neta Jenkins Coblentz.


He married the former Dolores Show on Oct. 21, 1950. She survives.


Mr. Coblentz retired from Aetna Standard Engineering Co. of Ellwood City with 34 years of service as a production control expeditor.


He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling.


Mr. Coblentz was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.


In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, William Coblentz of New Castle and Robert Coblentz of Butler; a foster son, Tim Sallmen of New Castle; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by a son, John D. Coblentz, and a granddaughter, Jennifer Coblentz.


There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at noon Wednesday at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road. The Rev. Barbara Moore of Wesley United Methodist Church will officiate.


Memorial contributions can be made to the stained glass window memorial fund of Wesley United Methodist Church.
