Samuel was married 5 October 1770 in Randolph County, North Carolina, (or 10 May 1773) in Franklinville, Randolph County, to Abigail Mary Julien, According to Family Tree Makers, she was born in 1751 in Winchester, Frederick County, Virginia, and died 17 February 1831, in Gables Creek, Randolph County. They were buried near Ashboro, in Randolph County
The Trogdon children were all born in Randolph County, North Carolina.
Her Father was very rich and she met Abraham and fell in love and married him and became a Quaker. He was kicked out of the church for marrying her and she gave up all her wealth. Eventually they were invited to join the church again. When her father died he left them a slave among other things. And since they didn't believe in owning other people, they sent him to a free state. One descendant reported that he remembered sitting at his grandmother's (Catherine) feet and listening while she read a letter from Eddie.
