The Keaton Family
Henry Keaton, born about 1675, owned 200 acres of land at Newbegun Creek, Pasquotank, North Carolina, before 1700.
His first wife was Mary, who died in 1708. He was appointed overseer at Pasquotank Monthly Meeting in 1711.
He was married/2 in 1712 to Elizabeth Jordan, widow of Stephen Scott, daughter of James Jordan and Elizabeth Ratcliff.
Henry died 7mo 1715; Elizabeth died 6mo 1716. A committee was appointed to care for the fatherless children. It seems most likely that all of the children were born to his first marriage.
